Our Mission

Your spiritual journey begins at Conklin Presbyterian

Beginning the journey…if we were never to meet in person, more than anything we would want you to know about God’s special love for you. God wants a relationship with each one of us. We were created by God for that purpose (Col 1:16).

Sadly, we don’t naturally have this relationship because of all that we’ve done. Our sin separates us from God. God made a way. He sent Jesus to restore that relationship between us. Jesus died for us. Then he rose from the dead so we can begin a relationship with God.

Still, we must choose. Our relationship with God begins when we turn from our sin (Acts 3:19), and place our trust in Jesus to be our Savior (John 1:12). If God is leading you to do so, why not express your desire to trust in Jesus, and to begin that relationship with God:

God, I’ve been running my own life, with little regard for you. Today I realize that I was made by you, and for you. I’m sorry for my sin. I believe that your Son Jesus paid for my sins when He died on the cross. I desire to turn from my sin. I trust in Jesus to be my Savior from sin’s power and penalty. I desire a relationship with you, now and forever. Starting today, I am yours. Thank you, God.

Our Mission

The Conklin Presbyterian Church exists to declare Christ, deepen faith, develop community, and demonstrate Christian love.
In a word, our mission is discipleship: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt 28:19).

So, we:

Declare Christ. We proclaim the gospel from the
pulpit and through personal witness, inviting individuals to repent of their sin and trust Christ as Lord and Savior.

Deepen faith. We urge believers to nurture and grow their faith through participation in both (daily) private and (weekly) public worship, by
Word and Sacrament.

Develop community. We foster meaningful relationships and build community through churchwide fellowship events, Connect groups,
and a variety of ministry teams.

Demonstrate Christian love. We provide opportunities to serve God in our church, community, and world through direct involvement in ministry and financial stewardship.

What we believe

We are Christian . . .
Affirming the faith of the Apostles:
· The Holy Scriptures as the word of God written
· The triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
· The incarnation of the eternal Word of God in
Jesus Christ

We are Protestant . . .
Upholding the affirmations of the Reformation:
· We proclaim the Gospel – the saving message of
God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
· We affirm that salvation is received by grace
alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

We are Reformed . . .
We affirm the majesty, holiness, and providence of
God who in Christ and by the power of the Spirit creates, sustains, rules, and redeems the world in the freedom of sovereign righteousness and love.

Our Strategy

Our church exists to worship, connect, and serve. We worship every Sunday and throughout the week as we set aside moments for meditation and prayer. We connect with one another in meaningful ways through participation in ministry teams and small group events, and we serve one another, our community, and the world by discovering and exercising our gifts.

Being part of a church gets even better when everyone is involved in ministry together!
